It is important to note that this test offers an entirely new way screen for syphilis, yielding highly sensitive and specific results at the point of care.  The test allows providers to get a result right away rather than waiting for a lab test to initiate care and counseling.  Immediate steps can be taken with positive results to mitigate additional spread of syphilis.

Highly accurate: 98.0% sensitivity, 97.2% specificity; reads for both IgM and IgG.

Testing in mobile outreach settings

CLIA-waived for fingerstick whole blood and offers the ability to test in non-traditional testing environments, such as outreach programs and mobile testing clinics. Ideal for both clinical and non-clinical settings.

The test is not intended for use in screening blood or plasma donors.
