The Maternova non-pneumatic anti shock garment is a CE-marked medical device that stabilizes a women suffering from postpartum hemorrhage.  The NASG has been studied in over a dozen clinical trials published in peer-reviewed journals.  When used correctly the NASG can dramatically increase the odds that a woman will survived postpartum hemorrhage during transport or while awaiting blood transfusion or other procedures.

The segmented 'suit' is wrapped around a woman after the baby is born and after postpartum hemorrhage is identified.  Heavy velcro holds the suit together with numbered panels tightening around the ankle and calf, thigh and then across the hips and abdomen.  A dense, foam ball is sewn into the abdominal panel such that when the panel is attached with velcro, the ball exerts pressure on the uterus helping to stop the hemorrhage.

Quality control (ISO 13485) is assured at each step of the product manufacturing, from the quality and thickness of the neoprene used for the suit, to the quality and strength of the stitches and the velcro used.  The density and size of the foam ball in the abdominal panel is critical to the mechanism of action used to apply compression to the uterus.

Our NASGs have been supplied in the thousands to countries like Nicaragua, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Guatemala, the Philippines and East Timor and beyond.
