Meg Wirth is an expert in maternal and neonatal health innovation. she the co-founder of maternova a s.e.ven fellow Cartier Women's Initiative finalist. She has advised dozens of entrepreneurs and startups in women's health and global health. Meg has also worked as a member of the Rockefeller Foundation’s Health Equity team and co-edited a major volume called Challenging Inequities in Health: From Ethics to Action. She was a co-author of the UN Millennium Project’s final report on child and maternal health. She has a BA from Harvard University and an MPA in international development from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School.
Prakash brings over 15 years experience in leadership, strategy and project management. His background in the Navy has led him to wear several different hats including command of a warship, planning, and operations. He is an expert on sensor technology and has extensive expertise in international diplomacy, having worked with counterparts in North America, Europe, and Australia. Prior joining Maternova, Prakash worked with State Street Bank, MA in the strategic operations team. He holds an MBA from Babson College, Massachusetts.
Luna Mehrain is the Chief Medical Officer at Maternova. Luna completed her MD degree from the University of Dusseldorf, Germany and obtained a Master in Science degree in Sexual & Reproductive Health Research from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. Next to many trainings in medicine and public health she completed an executive Leadership Course from Oxford University, UK. At Maternova, Luna evaluates maternal, newborn, and reproductive health innovations on their efficacy, safety, and usability.
Molly Baab is Maternova's Chief Product Officer and head of digital growth. She has many years of ecommerce, digital product development, and digital marketing experience including roles at Rue La La, TripAdvisor, Purch, and business.com. Her personal experience with baby loss and prematurity led her to be passionate about the cause of maternal and infant health. She is a long time volunteer for the March of Dimes and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Rene Bell has over 23 years experience in medical device and diagnostic sales, building sales teams and driving revenue for startup companies. Rene is bilingual in Spanish and passionate about patient care and women's health.
Loredana Blasenak is an experienced sales professional who resides in Phoenix, AZ. She's originally from Argentina, but was born in Brazil and grew up in Mexico City. Her native languages are Spanish and Portuguese, and has a degree in Business Economics and International Business, plus a minor in French. Loredana comes with more than 18 years of sales experience, particularly 10 in healthcare and International sales. Loredana is passionate about saving lives and is eager to introduce innovations in maternal and newborn health to Maternova customers across Latin America.
Kevin Kennedy is Maternova's CFO along with acting as President of Double K Consulting Mr. Kennedy brings 20 years of experience having worked for and with a number of small businesses, trade associations, nonprofit organizations, and larger national and international corporations. The positions he has held include CFO, Treasurer, Director of Accounting, Director of Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Program Control Officer/Internal Auditor and Various Controllerships.
Previously Dr. Mallon founded Ardane Therapeutics, Inc. (USA), and Carlton Pharmaceutics (UK). Dr. Mallon is an inventor on several patents based upon his discoveries in addition to several publications. Dr. Mallon has a Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow, taught and undertook research at Brown University and is a registered pharmacist. Dr. Mallon has served as an expert scientific reviewer for both the NIH and NSF grant committees focused upon drug development.
Juan is the Director of Product at Maternova. Over the last few years, he’s worked in the User Research space. Now he is very excited to be helping mothers, newborns, and the global health community at large. Previously he was an engineer, UX designer. He holds engineering degrees from Carnegie Mellon and Columbia University.
Ines Santos has been leading Maternova's social media across 7 outlets for over a year. She has a BA from NYU and is passionate about women's rights, human rights and maternal and reproductive health. Ines is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
