    M. Gabriela Salvador, MD, MPH

    Chief Executive Officer

    Dr. Gabriela Salvador joined Maternova as its CEO and a member of the Board of Directors in 2023. She has more than 20 years of experience working in the public and private health sector as a physician and as a leader and advisor of global health initiatives and social enterprises. During that time, she has led the design and implementation of high-impact health business models and programs benefiting women and children living in poverty around the world. Before joining Maternova, Dr. Salvador served in a variety of executive management positions at Americares, Grameen Foundation, Freedom from Hunger and Pro Mujer. As a medical doctor, she practiced pediatric ophthalmology in Argentina, the United States and Mexico. Originally from Salta, Argentina, Dr. Salvador earned her MD degree from the National University of Córdoba. She completed a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the University of California, Irvine, and has a master’s degree in public health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

    Meg Wirth, Founder and President

    Chief of Strategy

    Meg Wirth is an expert in maternal and neonatal health innovation. she the co-founder of maternova a s.e.ven fellow Cartier Women's Initiative finalist. She has advised dozens of entrepreneurs and startups in women's health and global health. Meg has also worked as a member of the Rockefeller Foundation’s Health Equity team and co-edited a major volume called Challenging Inequities in Health: From Ethics to Action. She was a co-author of the UN Millennium Project’s final report on child and maternal health. She has a BA from Harvard University and an MPA in international development from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School.

    Kristie Manzueta

    Director of International Markets

    Kristie is the Director of International Markets at Maternova. She has over 6 years of experience with medical grade supply chain networks in emerging markets. Kristie has a BA in International Relations and is credentialed by the Institute of Supply Chain Management (IoSCM). She also is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and is a member of the Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS). Kristie is a bilingual New Yorker of Dominican heritage, and has lived and worked in Latin America & the Caribbean for a number of years. At Maternova, Kristie supports with marketplace strategy, end-to-end logistics, and global shipping compliance to ensure high quality service and timely delivery to customers worldwide.
