Maternova Grows Product Leadership Team with Two Strategic Hires

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--()--​Maternova, Inc., accelerating advances in maternal and infant health through innovative, accessible solutions, today announced the expansion of their product leadership team with the appointment of Molly Baab as Chief Product Officer and head of digital growth and Juan Rafael Lopez as Director of Product.

Maternova fast-tracks the commercialization of lifesaving maternal and newborn medical devices and diagnostics, prioritizing low- and middle-income countries and humanitarian settings.

Molly brings more than 15 years of experience building and leading high-scale, profitable e-commerce and digital media businesses, including Rue La La, BookBub, Tripadvisor, Purch and business.com. As Chief Product Officer at Maternova, she will have responsibility for its overall product strategy and marketing plan, product development roadmap and digital growth. Molly is a passionate advocate for newborn and women’s health and has served as a long-time volunteer for the March of Dimes and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She holds degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and Rutgers University.

Juan joins Maternova following roles with Brilliantly, MaestroQA, UserZoom and others, where he focused on user research. Previously, he was an engineer and UX designer with Validately (now UserZoom GO), Ladders and Educational Testing Service (ETS). Juan will champion the customer experience, working closely with the design and engineering teams, and drive new digital products from ideation, design, development and rollout across multiple platforms. He holds engineering degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Columbia University.
