Rohingya Relief: Midwifery Supplies Direct to Hope Bangaldesh
Our long-time partner, HOPE Foundation Bangladesh is a non-profit based in Miami but operating a hospital in Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh.
They already served the poorest and most needy citizens, BEFORE the 500,000 Rohingya fled over the water from Myanmar. Now they are providing 1000 patient visits per day for this persecuted minority.
We spoke directly with the founder of the organization as well as two of the midwives (one from the U.S., one from UNFPA) this weekend and they stated that they could definitely use:
-CRADLE blood pressure cuffs ($38 piece)
-Philips wind up fetal heart rate montior (thrilled to know this existed) $420
-mylar blankets for adults, buntings for children!
-NASGs to save women from hemorrhage (leading cause of death)
-Chlorhexidine for cord care
We are raising $5000 to send them these supplies. Please note that shipping charges will apply as we need to get the products to them (half the battle)!!
Thank you. This is something concrete you can do for the Rohingya.
