Pakar Biomedika Indonesia, Co has developed a rapid fever panel test for point of care in low-resource settings. The test uses immunochromatography technology and can test for fevers caused by Dengue, Malaria, Typhoid, and Leptospirosis in order to diagnose the cause of fever and prescribe the appropriate antibiotic without laboratory tests. The test causes around $4-$6 and can allow for the selective usage of antibiotics. Currently, they are hoping to optimize the fever panel test, develop a protocol for a pilot study, conduct the pilot implantation, analyze the data, and advocate the local policy maker and the department of health in Indonesia about the benefit of this approach.
