Supplementary Plumpy is a ready-to use supplementary food (RUSF) produced by Nutriset that is suitable for pregnant and lactating women. The product is a highly specialized blend of peanuts, sugar, vegetable oil blends and cocoa formulated to address moderate acute malnutrition (its sister product Plumpynut is for severe acute malnutrition in children). The product has been distributed in Haiti and studies are being undertaken elsewhere on its efficicacy in treating pregnant women.

In the fall of 2010, Nutriset announced a simple online system "to access their patents to promote the production of ready-to-use foods of the Plumpy’nut® type." Local companies in developing countries can obtain a “Patent Usage Agreement” in just a few clicks if they are in a country where the patent has been registered.
