Oxygen Concentrator Driven CPAP for Areas with Limited Resources by Diamedica

Last Update: January 11, 2013

CPAP is used to support premature babies and sick infants whose lungs need pressurised air to stay inflated. Conventional CPAP uses cylinders of compressed gases that are often too expensive or simply unavailable in low-income countries. The Diamedica solution utilises atmospheric air – a free and inexhaustible resource – to generate the necessary oxygen and air and enable CPAP treatment to save the lives of sick babies.
