CliniPAK Clinical Patient Administration Kit -- fingerprint ID for Western Kenya

This truly is incredible.  Fingerprint ID in the field.  We can't wait to get more and more user experiences recorded on this site so that people can judge for themselves.  The CliniPAK contains a solar powered, ruggedized, touch screen laptop and other healthcare assessment tools. The suitcase includes a laptop with fingerprint–based patient identification and a health assessment questionnaire.  The laptop contains standardized workflows and allows a junior physician to follow a course of action, record the history and record the treatment for follow-up.  It will be piloted in Western Kenya.  The health care information infrastructure-- each suitcase full of it-- is estimated to affect 16,000 lives a year.  This is an initiative by VECNA Health Care's Vecna Cares Charitable Trust .

CliniPAK Mobile extends the reach of this suitcase outside the clinic, allowing patient medical records and visit information will be saved to the laptop and sent to a central web–based medical record system, where they will be stored and can be forwarded to other clinicians for referral or to Western specialist groups for consults.
